This page contains the rules, policies and agreements that apply to Mirage Productions, its Minecraft server, events, community spaces and recruitment processes. Please read the documents relevant to your use of Mirage.
Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By accessing or participating in Mirage Productions services, including our Minecraft server, events, website, Discord and related community spaces, you agree to follow these Terms and the policies linked on this page.
2. Use of Mirage
Mirage is a Minecraft-based community and production project. You must use our services lawfully and must not deliberately disrupt the server, website, events, staff operations or other players' experience.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for activity carried out through accounts you control. Mirage may restrict or remove access where necessary to enforce its rules, protect the community or maintain the operation of an event.
4. Content
You retain ownership of content you create unless you separately agree otherwise. By submitting material for an application or production, you give Mirage permission to review and use that material for the stated recruitment or production purpose.
5. Changes and termination
Mirage may update these Terms and its services over time. Access may be suspended or removed where rules are broken or continued access would create a reasonable moderation, security or operational issue.
6. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@miragesmp.org.
Privacy Policy
Information we may receive
Depending on how you interact with Mirage, we may receive information such as your Minecraft username, Discord username or ID, email address, application answers, writing samples or portfolio links, and information needed to operate events or staff processes.
How we use information
Information may be used to process applications, respond to enquiries, manage staff and event participation, maintain server security, prevent abuse and operate Mirage services.
Third-party services
Mirage may use third-party services for forms, hosting, email, analytics or community features. Those services may process information according to their own policies.
Retention and protection
We aim to keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose and to take reasonable steps to protect it. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning access, correction or deletion of personal information. Contact contact@miragesmp.org for privacy enquiries.
Community Guidelines
- Treat other members, creators, actors and staff respectfully.
- Do not harass, threaten, target or repeatedly antagonise other members.
- Do not spam, raid, scam, impersonate staff or deliberately disrupt community spaces.
- Keep discussion appropriate for the community and follow Discord and Minecraft platform rules.
- Do not exploit personal information or share another person's private information.
- Use reports and staff channels responsibly rather than starting public disputes.
Moderation decisions may consider context, repetition, intent and the effect on the community.
Server Rules
- No cheating, hacked clients, exploits or deliberate abuse of server bugs.
- No griefing, stealing or sabotage outside rules specifically established for an event.
- Do not intentionally interfere with another player's connection, account or ability to participate.
- Follow event-specific restrictions when they are announced by the production team.
- Do not impersonate Mirage staff or falsely claim authority.
- Respect staff instructions relating to server security, events and moderation.
Some productions may use controlled roleplay mechanics that would normally be restricted. Those mechanics only apply within the stated event rules.
Staff Code of Conduct
- Staff must act respectfully and communicate clearly with members.
- Staff must not use their position to obtain unfair personal advantages.
- Private reports, applications and internal information must be handled appropriately.
- Staff should avoid conflicts of interest and disclose relevant issues to senior staff.
- Moderation should be based on the rules and available evidence, not personal grudges.
- Staff should keep internal disagreements away from public arguments where possible.
Staff roles are a responsibility, and access to internal tools may be limited or removed when necessary.
Event Rules
Production conduct
Participants are expected to follow the event script, directions from production staff and any event-specific rules. Improvisation may be allowed where the production team has indicated it is appropriate.
Roleplay
Conflict, competition and fictional events may be part of Mirage productions. Participants should understand the difference between in-game roleplay and real-world conduct and must not carry fictional disputes into harassment or real-world abuse.
Production integrity
Do not intentionally leak private production material, reveal planned twists without permission or interfere with another creator's recording or performance.
Safety and moderation
Production staff may pause, change or end a scene when needed for moderation, technical or participant-safety reasons.
Application Policy
- Applications must contain truthful and relevant information.
- Do not submit someone else's work as your own.
- For roles requiring writing or creative work, submitted samples may be reviewed by the recruitment team.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, trial or role.
- Recruitment decisions may depend on availability, role requirements, conduct, experience and current production needs.
- Repeatedly contacting staff for application updates may delay the process and should be avoided unless requested.
Applications and related information may be handled according to the Privacy Policy. Recruitment enquiries can be sent to applications@miragesmp.org.
